Student ID Badge Policy All students enrolled at Hallandale Adult Community Center are required to wear a School ID Badge. Upon enrollment, students are provided with an ID Badge that is to be kept in their possession at all times while on campus. Students who lose their badge should immediately report the loss to administration and request a new badge. Alternative High School/Middle School Academy 2012-2013 School begins on August 20th, so enjoy the last glorious weeks of summer before you join us for what will be an incredible year! Returning students, if you have not completed your Registration/Consent Packet, there�s still time. Plan to visit our school during the first week of August to submit your signed packet. New students are welcomed into our Alternative High School throughout the year. Registration for the new year begins the first week of August. Service Learning Any student who wishes to earn a standard diploma must meet the graduation requirement of forty (40) documented hours in the Student Volunteer Service Program. Visit our guidance webpage to learn more about the Volunteer Service Guidelines for Broward County Public Schools. Adult General Education For our ADULT students, registration for the fall term begins on July 30th. The Fall Term begins on August 20th. Fees for our adult classes, including ABE/GED and ESOL are $30 per term for Florida Residents/$120 per term for Non-Residents. Testing fee $10.00. Activity Fee $10.00. College Readiness & Career Planning Resources Hallandale Adult Community School proudly offers a transitions program to students who are completing their studies and ready for the next step. For our alternative high school students, our BRACE Advisor, Ms. Warren is available to guide your next steps. Our adult students are encouraged to visit our Transitions Liaison, Dr. Ramorobi to survey career interests and plan for technical or college entry. We encourage all students to visit http://www.flvc.org, a free service provided by the Florida Department of Education to learn more about career planning and college entrance requirements.
